Scruffy Dog Creative Group at IAAPA Middle East Trade Mission — Riyadh 2025

The entertainment and attractions industry in the Middle East is evolving at an unprecedented pace, and Scruffy Dog Creative Group was on the ground in Riyadh for the IAAPA Middle East Trade Mission from 17th–19th February. Our Projects Director, Malik Al Asadi, and Marketing & Content Manager, Tim Beavis, represented SDCG, engaging with industry leaders and exploring the future of entertainment design and delivery in this dynamic region.

Strengthening Connections in the Middle East

With the rapid growth of entertainment destinations across the Middle East, IAAPA’s trade mission provided an opportunity to engage with key stakeholders and explore new partnerships. Having worked on a range of giga-projects in the region — including Six Flags Qiddiya — SDCG is well-placed to support the next generation of immersive attractions and themed experiences.

The trade mission also offered valuable insights into the evolving landscape of entertainment and leisure in Saudi Arabia. From theme parks and integrated resorts to groundbreaking retail experiences, it’s clear that the region is setting new standards for innovation and scale.

The People and Projects That Inspire Us

The event introduced us to an incredible network of visionaries, designers, and industry leaders who are shaping the future of entertainment. From thrilling theme park developments to ambitious cultural and retail experiences, the projects we heard about are nothing short of inspiring. We can’t wait to collaborate and bring some of these bold ideas to life. As the industry evolves, we’re excited to continue contributing our expertise in large-scale fabrication and themed design, helping to shape the next generation of entertainment destinations.

To everyone we met — thank you for the inspiring conversations. We’re excited about the opportunities ahead and can’t wait to work with you. If we didn’t get a chance to connect in Riyadh, we’d love to hear from you. Let’s create something extraordinary together.
